Maple Building Services Celebrates Double Nomination at the National Building and Construction Awards 2024!
We are excited to share some news with our clients, team members and community! This year, we’ve been honoured with not one, but TWO nominations at the National Building and Construction Awards 2024, taking place in London, October 2024.
We are incredibly proud to be finalists in the following categories:
• BITA Contractor of the Year (contract value up to £5m)
• Women in Construction Award (Bex Howard)

Shattering ceilings and building dreams! 🌟 Meet Bex, the powerhouse behind Maple's latest triumph – a stunning near 7,000 sq. ft. residence. 👷
👏 Bex, our Project Manager extraordinaire, has been an integral part of the Maple family for over 12 years. From starting at the grassroots to now leading the charge as a Director, her journey is nothing short of inspiring.
🎓 Bex's relentless pursuit of excellence led her to achieve a Bsc (Hons First Degree) Quantity Surveyor Degree at Anglia Ruskin University. Her dedication and Maple's continued support have paved the way for her remarkable success. 👩🎓🍁
Now, as Bex takes steps into taking over Maple, we celebrate not just her achievements but the milestone she represents for women in construction. 💪 Less than 15% of the construction workforce is female, but with leaders like Bex, she's breaking barriers and leading the way for more women to join the industry.
Darren Howard, Maple's Founder & Director, proudly shares, "Seeing my daughter rise to the top, overseeing multiple projects with exceptionally high standard on a daily basis fills me with immense pride. Let Bex's journey inspire others, and let's work towards increasing the number of women in construction."
Bex's recent accomplishment includes the successful completion of a £2.5 million project, solidifying her status as a respected and valued member of the Maple team. 🍁
We are extremely excited to announce that Maple are getting back involved with developing and their sister company, 'Maple Developments', will be carrying out it's first Joint Venture with a company called Pigeon Investment Management to construct three executive bungalows on the outskirts of Hadleigh.
Maple are thrilled to announce the accomplishment of winning the 'Best Local Builder in East Anglia' award at the 2020 LABC Awards. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions an awards ceremony was unable to take place this year to maintain everyone's safety but a virtual presentation was however put together by the Local Authority announcing the winners via a video clip uploaded to you tube (link below). Maple are extremely proud of this award, having been a finalist of the LABC Awards for the tenth time this year, this is one award in particular we as a company really wanted to achieve and now having done so we are delighted. We look forward to being entered into the Grand Finals where we will be amongst all other regional finalists for the same category award.

We are very proud to announce that Maple Building Services have again been shortlisted as a finalist in the East Anglia LABC Building Excellence Awards 2020 in the category Best Local Builder!Having been shortlisted as a finalist for these awards for the 10th time this is something we as a company are incredibly proud of and we look forward to seeing the outcome on the 3rd of September 2020 when the winners are announced.
